Health Reflection:

A. Physical Well-Being 9,
At 33 I am in better shape physically than I have ever been in my life before, I dedicate my self to a healthy athletic lifestyle. The great thing about physical well being is once you get to a certain level it isn't hard to maintain, but it does take a lot of effort and long hours to incorporate the right amount of exercise and other physical activities as well as a proper meal plan in your everyday life to ensure this optimal health. The reason I rate a 9 is because I believe there is always room for improvement.
B. Spiritual Well- Being 7,
Haven't quite hit this optimal aspect of my journey but I do understand that their is a great divine inside all of us and we are giving the free will to choose, and when my choices do not necessarily go in a natural flow I know I do not have to suffer and I can choose again. I have been practicing and learning everyday the spirituality in me and in my friends and family.
C. Psychological Well-Being 7,
I'm taking the same rating as spiritual, I believe it takes me some time to put the pieces together, I have lapse of depression, anxiety, and loneliness but, they do not last long and I always find the answers I am looking for with in myself or with a little help from my friends.
Goals:

My first goal for my physical well-being is to incorporate more flexibility exercises in my routines such as go to yoga at least 2 times a week and on my rest and one hour to just stretching every muscle in my body, I intend to also work closer on my stabilizing muscles in my lower back and core area by increasing my swimming time by an hour.
My second goal for my spiritual well-being is to continue to meditate and create the stillness and solitude needed to clear the mind and body to reflect back or into all the experiences that I was apart of for the day.
My third goal for my psychological well-being is to continue to use my witnessing mind to observe all aspects of my surroundings by doing so I will be able to keep my thoughts in the present moment and in the long run understand that letting go of a self-centered attitude will bring rewards and help build character releasing me from the depression, anxiety, and loneliness feelings that only I have created fro myself. I will also make sure I go to see my life coach twice a week because I like to inquire all the guidance I can get my hands on.
Activities:
I have already stated the activities that I plan on attending in my goals. How I am going to get there is by taking the time to sit down every Sunday night and write in my weekly planner my scheduled workouts, school time, mommy time, my meal plan, and time for self. This way I will have no conflict in between and even if one thing doesn't go as planned at least I understand that I took the time to make an outline. This will help relieve stress because I went through the organization process.

Hello Jewel,
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I could go to the beach like you did! I am up in the cold northwest! I used to live in San-Diego and miss listening to those waves roll in :) Great job on your goals. I also set the goal of continuing to use my witnessing mind. I am hoping this helps with the bouncing random thoughts in my head. I started doing yoga and I have felt SO much better since I started. I hope you like it!
Jewel-
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are in a really good place in your life right now. I am not where I would like to be physically, but I am working on it. You bring up incorporating more yoga into your schedule and yoga is one of those things that I love, but tend to forget for some reason. Not only is yoga healthy for you physically, but also psychologically. I have always thought that when I get to my early thirties that these will be the best years for me at a time in which I see myself hitting prime. Great blog and I really enjoyed it!
